In this 2-day workshop, students will create their own stained glass pieces. We\'ll teach students how to cut patterns and glass, how to assemble and then how to solder. We will be using the copper foil lead-free solder. The first project will be a small panel using 8-10 pieces of cut glass. For the second project, we\'ll show students how to design an original piece (which can be 3-dimensional). We\'ll show plenty of examples for inspiration. We\'ll have discussions on craft, technique, and the history of stained glass.
•This is a perfect class for students with no experience as well as intermediate students with some experience who may want a refresher course. All levels are welcome.
•All glass and supplies are included in the tuition as is the use of all tools. Each student will receive a soldering iron, plyers, grinding stone, etc. to use and take home.
•We\'ll have some additional glass available for purchase.
•Class meets from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday, with open studio time afterwards.
